Food for Thought This is a TED lecture about video games that I think has a lot to do with our discussion the other night. Jane McGonigal has researched and written on the potential of video games (particularly cooperative games) as skill-builders, motivators, and more. She makes a lot of good points that I think are relevant to pedagogy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE1DuBesGYM
She also has a book on the same topic.
(maybe a future book club choice...?)
